Krea is led by Hakan Kodal, former CEO (1997-2006) of Yapı Kredi Koray, a leading Turkish REIT and he is also the founding Chairman of major Turkish real estate organizations such as the Association of Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER), ULI Turkey, AYD, the Shopping Center Investors Association (AYD) and Istanbul shopping Fest. Having 20 years of experience in real estate development, investment and investment banking, Hakan Kodal oversees all investment, development, marketing and sales activities of the Group.

Krea, in the first year following its establishment, was named " The Best Developer" and the "The Best Investment Management Company" of 2007 in the Euromoney Liquid Real Estate Awards. In 2008, Krea also earned the "Best Retail / Shopping Center Developer Award" in the Euromoney Liquid Real Estate Awards.Krea Group's first investment, the Neoplus Outlet Center Eskişehir won "The Best Christmas Concept Design Award" in Turkey in January 2008.
